The Front of Book (also known as MUSEum) photo gallery is a compilation of photos taken by staffers during the quarter that have not been featured in any other stories. My co-photo editor and I select the 4-6 photos that are used and, being in the first few pages of the issue, therefore set a precedent for the rest of the issue. When selecting, I try to make sure that the photos are a reflection of the demographics at our school by varying the type of subjects featured, whether it be by major, gender, or race. I also try to select photos that feature a variety of types of events to avoid repetition and expose the student body reading the issues to events that are important to different groups of students.
